Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL), a leading renewable energy company in India, recorded a 42% year-on-year rise in energy sales in the first quarter of financial year 2025-26 (April to June), showing steady growth and solid financial health.

The company sold 10,479 million units of energy, which is more than the total annual sales from FY22. Revenue for this quarter reached ₹3,312 crore, marking a 31% growth compared to the same time last year.

Profits and Output Boosted by Green Energy Projects

Adani Green also reported that its EBITDA rose by 31%, reaching ₹3,108 crore, while cash profit increased by 25% to ₹1,744 crore. These improvements are due to the company’s focus on building new energy projects.

The firm added 4.9 GW of new green energy capacity, including 1.6 GW in Q1 alone, using new technologies and setting up plants in Khavda (Gujarat) and Rajasthan, areas rich in natural energy resources.

On Track for 2030 Renewable Goals

CEO Ashish Khanna said that Adani Green is making fast progress toward its 2030 goal of 50 GW renewable capacity. This includes plans for 5 GW of pumped hydro storage and battery storage solutions, which are becoming a big part of their strategy. He added that Adani Green is helping India move toward clean energy and was recognized for its work with top rankings in the FTSE Russell ESG assessment and at the Reuters Global Energy Transition Awards 2025.
